Barefoot.ie Online Shop and CMS
Barefoot Sports Ireland import, wholesale and retail Vibram FiveFingers minimalist footwear for the Irish market. Barefoot Ireland needed more control over their content than their existing proprietary solution could provide, but without any negative impact on their live ZenCart webshop. Sharkey consulting developed a solution matching a new content management system (CMS) with a new layout and design for the existing webshop solution. Existing user accounts were synchronised to allow customer to engage in conversations and commentary on the new CMS. The solution was created and tested offline and implemented in a single day with minimal downtime. Barefoot.ie can now drive traffic directly to its webshop having full control over their new and powerful content solution.
Update: This year Barefoot.ie requested we replace their Zencart system with a better, more up to date solution. We configured and installed a Joomla!™ based online shopping system which allows Barefoot to present their product catalogue in a much more user friendly way. We also migrated their CMS to the latest stable version and we maintain their website software on an ongoing basis.
